Dr. Patrick Harrison knew he wanted to become a dentist from the time he was a teenager. He attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated in 1997. From 1997-1999, he continued his dental training through a two-year General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, serving his final year as chief resident. In 1999 Dr. Harrison focused his career efforts in the field of not-for-profit dentistry, becoming the Loveland Site Director for Sunrise Community Health Center and in 2005 was promoted to the position of Chief Dental Officer for the health center's dental clinics. During his time at Sunrise, Dr. Harrison enjoyed helping the medically underserved population in the Northern Colorado area as well as being an advocate for greater access to health care. Dr. Harrison also taught dental students as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Colorado School of Dentistry and as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. In 2008, Dr. Harrison decided the time was right to pursue his dream of building his practice in the Fort Collins community in which he lives.
Dr. Harrison has been involved with many organizations. He served as a US Army Reserve Dental Corp Officer from 1999-2008, the Chairperson of the Colorado Dental Health Network from 2001-2004, and as President of the Larimer County Dental Society in 2007-08. Dr. Harrison strongly believes in giving back to the community and supports Project Smile and the Dental Task Force of Northern Colorado.
On a personal note, Patrick and his wife, Jill, who met while attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, have been married for 19 years. Patrick and Jill love living in Colorado and were drawn to the family atmosphere of Fort Collins. They have three children who keep them busy and entertained: Noah (14), Emma (12), and Riley (10). Together they love to bike along the Fort Collins trail system, share family movie and game nights, travel, ski, and cheer for the Michigan Wolverines. Patrick also enjoys hiking in the Colorado mountains, playing volleyball in a local rec league, and rooting for his childrens' sports teams.
